许出题人也没有考虑到word也可以作"消息,信息"解释,而他的真正用意是将其作"话语,这是完全有可能的,对于初中乃至高中英语用的最多的是news和facts.
我个人觉得word和news作为"消息,信息"解释时并无很大区别.首先来看word
[U(of)] a message or piece of news"信息,消息",如:There's been no word from her for weeks.又如:Word of his success soon got around.
[+that]如:The word is that the election will be in June.(有消息称选举将在六月份举行.)
再看news[U(of,about)]facts that are reported about a recent event or
events;news information"新闻,消息."news是特指对最近时事的报道,新的信息.也可以指通过报纸,杂志和广播电视所报道的事件.
那么如果真要区分word和news的话,从刚才所给的英语解释,即1.word:a massage or piece of news 2.news:facts that are reported about a recent event or events;news information中可以看出word仅仅表示"消息,信息",就其可信度和真实度远不如news.
