word superiority effect ——字优效果
1.在英文中有意义的单字本身或是其组成的字母,比无意义的字或单一字母更容易辨认,描述此一现象的起源很早,最早提出此一发现的是Cattell(1886),但此现象的解释相当不易,现存的理论并未尽如人意,目前仍是认知心理学家努力的重点
2.某些字母是某个单字的各部份时,人们能更快速更精确的阅读它们的现象,称之为字优效应
3.『字优效应』,即辨认一个字的时间,会比辨认一个字母的时间短.照理说,字是由字母组成的,我们要先辨认字母才能认出字义,所以辨认字母的时间应该比较短才对.但是实验结果正好相反.这是因为字是有意义的,意义会减少大脑工作的负荷,辨认速度就快了.越是熟悉的字,大脑的工作量越轻,越容易辨认.
