Persephone was the daughter of Demeter,the godness of harvest.Hades the god of underworld wanted Persephone to be his wife so he kidnapped Persephone,the godness of Spring and went back to the underworld.Demeter wanted her daughter back therefore she didn't care about her duty and the world was left in winter.The other gods demanded Hades to hand back Persephone so he persuaded Persephone and made her ate four megranate,for once you ate anything from the underworld you could never left.So that Persephone would stay with her mother during spring and summer and autumn,and she would return back to the underworld in winter.
