前面没有问题,but the future 中省略了与上文重复的 you can change,即but you can change the future.

问题出在the future 的定语从句which depends.关系代词which 指代 the future,也就是he future depends,将来依赖或决定什么呢,总不能说“视情况而定的”将来吧,因此从句语意模糊.根据情理,把定语从句改作which is depended on（被依赖的将来）或which you depend on（你依赖的将来）就说得通了：

也可以用两个并列句表述：

You can not change the past but (you can change) the future which is depended on. 你不能改变过去,但是可以改变所依赖的将来.
